Voting Process Explained

The voting process has started! To vote, simply click on the thumbs up/down next to the song title. The song list is not finalized. You can continue to make song suggestions by adding a comment.

The Song Selection

Originally, the Student Council has put together a list of 200 songs - mainstream songs from the radio and songs that have survived the test of time. The song list has been immensely expanded thanks to student suggestions. However, there are few things you need to know. All songs that aren't already in "club music" will have their remixed counterparts played. This includes "Touch My Body" by Mariah Carey. As a moderately slow song, the song wouldn't work well on the dance floor - so we'll mix it up with a more upbeat Remix. And lastly remember that just because a song is on the song list doesn't mean it will be played during the dance! Only the top 50 songs will be played as a countdown, and everything else we'll be up to the DJ.

The Voting Process

The song list is open to suggestions. You can make suggestions by adding a comment. To vote for a song, simply click on the thumbs up/down icons. The voting is done with some neat javascript so you don't have to refresh the page. If you have javascript turned off, you will be redirected to a page where your vote will be counted.

Final Words

A countdown has never been done at Homecoming before! We are trying something new and we'll see how it works out. If it turns out to be a huge hit, the countdown will forever become part of our High School tradition. Have fun and GET EXCITED FOR HOMECOMING!
